Rumor has it that the Galaxy S5, and the more popular Galaxy S4 Android handsets are finally getting Android 4.4.3 KitKat software update this month and July for the latter. The newer software is already available on Nexus and Google’s Moto devices, the Moto X, Moto G and E.
Samsung Group is trying to catch up with a new rumor on the web claiming that the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S5 are finally getting Android 4.4.3 update with TouchWiz user interface. No word yet about the exact release date, but a source from Android Geeks suggested that the Galaxy S4 will receive the update next month, and earlier for the newer Galaxy S5.
Android 4.4.3 is currently the latest and greatest version of Google’s mobile operating system. It’s not a whole new update which will change your phone’s user interface, or add new features. However, it reportedly offers better battery life, camera quality and other bug fixes and under the hood software enhancements.
Sadly, no words yet about the same update for other Samsung handsets like the Galaxy Note 2, the Galaxy Note 3 or the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The Android 4.4.3 KitKat version is already running on all Nexus devices namely the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Motorola Mobility also updated its “Moto” lineup — the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E — and are now equipped with the new mobile operating system upgrade.
Google is expected to reveal a new Android mobile system update later this month at the Google I/O event scheduled on June 25 to 26 in California. Rumors say the next update will be called “Lollipop” and will offer a brand new user interface.
