Sony Xperia Z Tablet Revealed
Article by: Carlo Raphael Diokno – Launching this Spring in the United States, Sony is the latest manufacturer to unleash a new tablet computer but unlike Google and Amazon, the company won’t undercut Apple’s iPad.
The new Sony Xperia Tablet Z or the so-called Xperia Z tablet edition is the newest member of the Sony 2013 lineup. Similar to other Android tablet computers, the Android-based Sony device is powered by a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and offers a spacious 16GB or 32GB of on-board storage.
The Sony Tablet features a 10.1-inch display, and with Android Jelly Bean on-board out of the box, expect a smooth user interface. Features you’d expect from high-end tablet computers are also available on the Sony Tablet Z like Long Term Evolution or LTE, WiFi, the latest Bluetooth technology, large battery and a high-end primary camera.
The “Sony Xperia Z” Tablet will arrive this Spring for $499 or $599 price tags depending on model.
The new Sony tablet computer will compete with popular devices such as the cheaper Google Nexus 7, the Samsung-made Nexus 10, the Kindle Fire lineup of Amazon and of course, the Apple iPad including the cheaper Apple iPad Mini.
