Some Features of HTC One Coming To Older Devices
Article by: Raphael Labuguen – Older HTC devices like the HTC One X and the HTC Butterfly are also expected to enjoy the same features found on the Sense 5 according to the company’s latest public Facebook post.
In a reply to one of its Facebook fans, the Taiwan-based phone maker has confirmed that older devices, such as the former flagship HTC One X, the mid-range HTC One S and the new HTC Butterfly with 1080p display — will receive the new HTC Sense 5, but there’s a catch.
“HTC will be offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months, including global variants of HTC One X, One X+, One S and the HTC Butterfly. Also, note that some features enabled by the new HTC One hardware will not be available in the software updates,” the company said.
As explained by HTC, some features might not make it to older devices. It is safe to say that HTC will make some features exclusive to HTC One like the new Zoe camera app available on HTC One and its 4MP UltraPixel back-facing camera. However, BlinkFeed might make to older devices because it is just a glorified RSS reader. Via Pocket-Lint.
