Motorola’s next flagship Google Android device leaks to web? New reports say the phone maker will release a powerful smartphone with 2GB RAM and Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS on-board. Is this the new iPhone 5 killer?
Yet another Motorola smartphone? Or is this the best smartphone of Motorola yet?
Latest leak posted by Android and Me quoting an Italian Android blog revealed the Motorola Atrix 3, the Atrix successor that will reportedly ship with Android’s new operating system, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system version 4.0, will join the growing number of Android devices this year and take note, it will reportedly ship with Nvidia’s Tegra 3 quad-core CPU, sweet (if true). The report added that the leaked image is just a “concept” phone but the leaked specs is “believable.”
Aside from the popular Tegra 3, rumor has it that the new Motorola Atrix 3 will include a 2GB DDR2 RAM, yes, two GB of full RAM that will support more background processes and technically more powerful than the Galaxy Nexus or the Galaxy S2′s 1GB RAM.
Other specs mentioned by the new rumor: 10MP camera, HD screen, and the “to die for” 3,300 mAh battery. For starters, 3,300 mAh battery is a “must” if the Motorola Atrix 3 will ship with Tegra 3 and HD screen because it is capable of supporting longer battery life in one single charge.
No word yet on the release date of the phone but if true, the device might join AT&T’s lineup following the two older Atrix phones, and the Motorola Atrix 3 might compete against Apple’s long-rumored iPhone 5 and Samsung’s flagship Samsung Galaxy S3 that will go on sale, according to rumors, in mid-2012.
In related news, Motorola recently revealed that the Motorola Atrix and the Motorola Atrix 2 will receive the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system update this year, and according to reports, the software update will hit the phones sometime in mid-2012.
