
New leak suggests that HTC will launch a quad-core smartphone this month, the HTC Endeavor.
A new report posted by Modaco is claiming that HTC’s rumored Android smartphone, previously called “Edge,” will use the name “Endeavor” and similar to previous rumors, the unnamed source of the website confirms that the smartphone will ship with quad-core CPU clocked at 1.5GHz.
The HTC Endeavor is reportedly scheduled to hit the stage this month at the Mobile World Congress in Europe, and the Taiwan-based company’s new flagship device might go on sale this quarter.
Other features of the Endeavor mentioned are Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that will run with HTC Sense skin, 4.7-inch HD touchscreen, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel camera, and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
In related news, HTC is also expected to compete against Nokia and Samsung in the mid-range smartphone category with the HTC Ville, the thin Android smartphone also with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
