A massive new Samsung Galaxy Tablet is reportedly arriving at the MWC next month, a big iPad 3 rival?

If true, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 is the largest Android tablet yet.

New rumors posted online say the South Korean company will introduce a dual-core 2GHz tablet running the latest version of Android, the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, plus the large 11.6-inch Super AMOLED screen which is obviously larger than the previous 10.1-inch screen.

According to CNET citing all the rumors about the device, the new Galaxy Tab 11.6 will feature a thinner bezel making the tablet look “smaller” or about the same size as the original Galaxy Tab 10.1. Apparently, this new rumor a follow-up to last week’s rumor that Samsung will skip the Galaxy S3, and will just introduce a new tablet computer that will compete against the iPad 3 that might also arrive this quarter.

The CPU of the new Galaxy Tab is the Samsung Exynos 5250 2GHz CPU, a dual-core CPU  that is reportedly more powerful than anything on the market now. Well, ASUS is currently selling the Tegra 3-powered Transformer Prime, so we’re not sure if the Exynos 5250 is indeed “more powerful.”

On the other side, iPad 3 rumors point to March release date, adding that it will include a quad-core CPU, NFC and improved screen resolution with more pixels per inch. Again, if true, then the Galaxy Tab 11.6 could be the Samsung device that will challenge the iPad 3.

Samsung may, or may not announce the price and the exact release date of the 11.6 tablet, but it’s worth pointing out that the trend right now is “inexpensiveness” after the massive growth of Amazon’s tablet market share courtesy of the $200 Amazon Kindle Fire.
