Motorola's Droid Pro

Verizon iPhone 4 announcement next week? Or just the Verizon’s “iconic” Droid Pro?

“Rumors intensify,” words used by tech bloggers on non-stop claims that iPhone 4′s Verizon version will be announced next week.

The story started when Ripten.com posted an article, claiming that “Verizon will be unveiling an, ‘Iconic Device’ for pre-sale starting on November 9th.” The tech blog speculated that Verizon was talking about the iPhone 4.

And here comes a “gossip buster,” Tom’s Guide revealed that the “iconic device” that Verizon will be launching is actually a Motorola device, the Motorola Droid Pro dubbed as the Blackberry killer.

But did Verizon just called Droid Pro “iconic”? What’s the basis of the wireless network to call the Motorola device an “iconic” piece of metal?

Well, here are some of the tech specification (that I love) of the said business smartphone according to the company’s website:

Camera: 5 MP; 3G: Worldphone (CDMA and UMTS); Android Media Player; Stereo Bluetooth Class 2, Version 2.1 + EDR (support profiles, A2DP, AVRCP, HFP, HID, HSP, OPP, PBAP); Android HTML Webkit, Adobe® Flash® Player 10 (Browser); WiFi; Standard voice mail, Verizon Visual Voice Mail™ (capable); Be a mobile hot spot for up to 5 other devices; USB 2.0 (High Speed) and its hearing aid compatibility.

So, is it the Verizon iPhone 4? Or the ‘iconic’ Motorola Droid Pro? Let’s just wait Monday, Nov. 8 (EDT). And don’t forget your “hope box”, (Imaginary box containing your hope of seeing Verizon’s “dream” iPhone 4, just kidding).
