The first Google Doodle for the month of April: Ice Cream Sundae’s 119th anniversary, yum!

One of the tastiest Google Doodle for this year, the 119th anniversary of the first documented Ice Cream Sundae! Launched today, April 2, 2011, the Google Doodle à la Ice Cream Sundae is just a simple jpeg file with a file size of 33 KB. The file size of the Ice Cream Sundae Google Doodle is the same as previous jpeg-based Google Doodle like the Houdini and St Patty’s Day in Google Ireland.
Apparently, Ice Cream Sundae was first documented on April 3, 1892 in Ithaca, in the state of New York in United States of America by John M. Scott, a Unitarian Church minister, and Chester Platt, co-owner of Platt & Colt Pharmacy. The Ice Cream Sundae documentation of John M. Scott and Chester Platt marked the history of the yummy frozen desert, 119th year? Isn’t that cool?
But there’s something mysterious about Ice Cream Sundae Google Doodle. If I’m not mistaken, Google’s mobile operating system, the now-popular Android, might get an update this quarter named “Ice Cream.” According to latest rumors, the upcoming Android Ice Cream update will end the “fragmentation.”
The latest version of Android is version 2.3 or Gingerbread, which is being used by the search engine’s own smartphone, the Google Nexus S. Android Ice Cream update might hit some smartphones this quarter.
