samsung-galaxy-s4-android-deviceOwners of Samsung’s previous flagship, the Galaxy S3, won’t have to wait too long until the latest version of Android reaches their plastic-clad babies since a TouchWiz -laden Android 4.2.2 firmware has just hit the internet — yes, it is a leak so this one’s a no-go if you’re not into flashing ROMs.

According to numerous sources, the Korean smartphone giant is already adding some finishing touches to the latest firmware update for the Galaxy S3 and is expecting to release it sometime in June.

As suggested by the screenshots [and video] we’ve witnessed below, some software-related features of its successor might find their way into the Galaxy S3, the list is concluded by the overhauled system settings interface, a new lockscreen animation, improved notification screen with additional shortcut buttons courtesy of Android 4.2.2, and a much improved S Voice with some basic user customization level among many others.

Users can now also take advantage of ‘Daydream’ wherein they can set their own screensavers and use the phone as a digital photo frame or alarm clock [depending on the scenario].

Head on to the source link below if you’d like to give this on a shot yourself, do expect some quirks that’ll come with the software since it is not yet in its final form, just a little something to keep in mind.
