Nokia Lumia 920 Successor To Be Water-Resistant?

Article by: Carlo Raphael Diokno — Nokia will likely unveil a new Windows Phone handset this year to replace its current flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 920. Of course, the device is still unknown or still in the works.

nokia-lumia-920-successor-water-resistantNokia hasn’t announced anything about the next flagship Lumia handset, but one report is claiming that it might feature water-resistant design to the “molecular level” courtesy of P2i’s nano-coating technology. As reported by GSM Arena, Nokia is working with P2i on a water-resistant smartphone, and the two companies reportedly agreed to work together at the recently concluded Mobile World  Congress in Spain.

The next flagship Nokia Lumia device is expected to compete with top smartphones running Android, like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the recently announced HTC One and the Sony Xperia Z, apart from the “phone to beat” Apple iPhone that will likely add a new flagship later this year — the rumored iPhone 5S/iPhone 6.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is still available in United States through AT&T, and also via third-party retailers which offer the unlocked model which supports GSM carriers.
