Midrange Samsung Phone Overtaking Motorola Droid RAZR, RAZR MAXX Jelly Bean Update?
Article by: Raphael Labuguen – So here’s the latest update about the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX and Droid RAZR Jelly Bean update — it looks like a mid-range Samsung device will receive the Jelly Bean OTA update first before the two former Motorola flagships’ schedule.
As reported by Droid-Life, the inexpensive Samsung Galaxy Stellar is about to receive the Jelly Bean OTA update sometime next week, while both the Motorola Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx are still waiting for further announcements from Verizon Wireless and Motorola Mobility.
Android Jelly Bean brings a set of new features including project butter — its most popular feature allowing smartphones to run smoother. Android Jelly Bean also offers Google Now platform, enhanced Google voice search and other bug fixes and software enhancements.
According to Motorola’s official website, the Jelly Bean update for the Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR Maxx, the two original models, is scheduled this quarter (January to March) so it is safe to say that by the end of March, an over-the-air software update is coming. Source.
