BlackBerry’s New Flagship, the Z10 (Unlocked), is Now Cheaper Ahead of US Release Date
Article by: Carlo Raphael Diokno — BlackBerry is still on track to sell more devices with its BlackBerry Z10 all-touch smartphone with BlackBerry 10 mobile operating system. In fact, its cheaper price tag, compared to prices posted last month, makes it more appealing.
The unlocked BlackBerry Z10 is still available online with a more competitive price tag of $750 to $800. Some online retailers also offer cheaper models like the carrier-branded BlackBerry Z10 of Rogers and Bell, both coming from Canada.
At Negri Electronics, the unlocked Z10 of BlackBerry is priced from $749 to $789 depending on model and color.
OEM unlocked BlackBerry Z10 are also available on other online catalogs like the BlackBerry Z10 at Clove UK with an asking price of $775 after conversion.
Surprisingly, the new BB Z10 is cheaper than Nokia’s older but still the top-end flagship Windows Phone device, the Nokia Lumia 920 which is still priced above $800.
The BlackBerry Z10 will arrive in United States sometime next quarter. Verizon Wireless already confirmed in a press release that its very own BlackBerry Z10 is on “coming soon” list, while AT&T is planning to launch the new BlackBerry phone soon and will run on its faster Long Term Evolution network.
BlackBerry has updated the BlackBerry Z10′s software ahead of the US launch with features that will improve the device’s camera and battery life.
