Verizon Wireless to offer the Nokia Lumia 920 with Long Term Evolution?

The Nokia Lumia 920 is currently exclusive to AT&T Wireless, but that episode will come to an end in a couple of months and Verizon is already taking steps in order to start selling one of the best-selling Windows Phone handsets in existence.

According to a report done by The Verge, a new Nokia handset — dubbed as ‘Laser’ — has just passed through FCC’s gates with the ID RM-860, it apparently supports Long Term Evolution bands 4 and 13 which matches Big Red’s network.

There are many rumors surrounding the Nokia ‘Laser’ smartphone, since the device’s specs such as the 1,280 by 768 display resolution and dimensions are purportedly similar to that of the Lumia 920 (Nokia’s current flagship), many are speculating that the Laser may actually be a Lumia 920 variant for Verizon Wireless and not a ‘completely new’ or ‘groundbreaking’ Windows Phone 8 handset that everyone’s been saying.

Verizon Wireless Nokia Lumia 920It’s worth mentioning that Microsoft is planning on spending a big amount of cash for marketing the Laser once it finally gets revealed, quite odd considering that the hype for the Lumia 920 has already toned down, not much is known about the Laser so we’re better off waiting for a new batch of leaks and news churned out by the rumor-mill.

The Nokia Lumia 920 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1,280 by 768 and a pixel density of over 300 ppi, an 8.7-megapixel PureView camera and a front-facing HD video camera. there’s also a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, a gigabyte of RAM under the hood and of course, the Windows Phone 8 platform glorified with Nokia’s own apps. Source.
