Apparently, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will all offer the HTC One (M7) — the latest flagship Android smartphone of HTC Corp. Noticeably absent is Verizon Wireless and reports say the company declined to comment related to the HTC One. HTC on the other hand pointed to the HTC Droid DNA, indirectly suggesting that Verizon Wireless will focus on its LTE-equipped HTC Butterfly which offers a 5-inch 1080p display too, but with the outdated user interface skin of HTC.
The HTC One, or formerly known as HTC M7, is arguably the best-looking HTC Android handset to date — beating last year’s HTC One X and even the newer HTC Butterfly and Droid DNA. Plus, the HTC One offers a smaller 4.7-inch touchscreen display but with 1080p resolution, giving users a better viewing experience with more pixels per inch. According to posts online, the HTC One (M7) offers the best display on the smartphone market right now with more than 469 pixels per inch.
For comparison, the HTC Droid DNA offers 441 PPI, still larger than the iPhone 5, but a 4.7-inch smartphone is better with one-hand than the larger 5-incher Android phones. Some customers might say that 5-inch is better, but some customers will argue that 4.7-inch is the sweetest spot — me included.
Verizon might offer the HTC One soon, who knows, but for now, AT&T and Sprint are the only option for the LTE HTC One, and if you’re a T-Mobile customers, you can experience the phone with HSPA+ 4G, similar to the Google Nexus 4 and other top-end T-Mobile USA handsets out there.
If carrier-locked HTC One (M7) is not your cup of tea, online retailers are here to the rescue with a promise that the HTC One M7 with unlocked MICROSIM card slot will start shipping on March 15. With an unlocked SIM card slot, customers have the option to choose their preferred carrier.
