At the moment, Google is still selling the most popular Nexus phone to date, the LG Nexus 4 in its official online store — the Google Play Store.
In the United States Google Play Store, the handset’s 16GB variant appears in stock with 1 to 2 weeks shipping delay. Similarly, United Kingdom’s Google online store also shows the same delivery delay.
In other popular smartphone markets, the Nexus 4 displays longer delay like in Australia, Google is promising 2 to 3 weeks shipping time, while the LG flagship Jelly Bean handset is currently out of stock at other countries including Spain.
Outside the Google Play Store, Google’s Nexus 4 is still missing in action. Popular online retail stores like Expansys and Clove in the United Kingdom are still not offering the Android Jelly Bean handset, while Negri Electronics in United States currently offers the 8GB and 16GB unlocked stock Nexus 4 with more than $100 premium over the Google Play Store’s official price tags.
On eBay, the handset is still available but availability depends on the customer’s location. In United States, the top eBay.com domain catalog shows the “buy it now” Google Nexus 4 with 8GB of on-board storage for $390, but additional fees apply for the shipping.
Specs
The LG Nexus 4 is the 2012 flagship Android smartphone of search engine giant Google. It offers the “pure Google” experience with the original absolute latest version of Android Jelly Bean mobile operating system. The handset features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display, 8-megapixel primary back-facing camera, front-facing camera, 2GB RAM and quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with class leading Adreno 320 GPU.
According to SMH, Google’s Nexus 4 “raises the bar for Android superphones” and gives the flagship Samsung Galaxy S3 a run for its money.
Collectively, the Nexus 4 is the best “Android deal” in the market right according to reviews thanks to its inexpensive price tag, pure Android experience with faster software updates coming straight from Google and of course — top-end smartphone specifications that compete with other high-end smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Apple iPhone 5.
The latest version of Android Jelly Bean, the Android 4.2.2 is now available for download and users of Google Nexus 4 can download the software over the air.
