Article by: Kevin Go – A lot of people held out on their smartphone purchases and waited for the next-gen BlackBerry smartphones to come out only to find themselves getting disappointed due to a handful of negative reviews or have decided to go with Android or iOS instead. Those of you who are planning on snagging one of Samsung’s popular Jelly Bean-powered phablets, the Galaxy Note 2 — you guys have come to the right place.
First off, unlocked prices, after doing a round of channel checks we’ve found out that the prices for the Galaxy Note 2 has not changed much due to the device’s ongoing popularity, price tags of unlocked Note 2 units still roam within the $640 to $700 range, with the recent roll out of the Android 4.1.2 and the much-awaited Premium Suite software bundle, we cannot see prices getting any lower in the next couple of weeks or so.
If some of you guys are willing to get tied down with wireless carriers, Amazon Wireless is kind enough to offer Sprint’s LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for just $99.99, the best part is, the Wacom-toting super phone is in stock and can be shipped to your doorstep in as fast as 24 hours. If you’re no fan of Sprint Nextel, Amazon Wireless is also offering AT&T and Verizon Wireless’ variants of the Galaxy Note 2, AT&T Note 2 can be had for double the price of Sprint’s model at $199.99, Big Red’s variant goes for a slightly cheaper $149.99 — both of which come with two agreements of course.
In case some of you have forgotten, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is one of the most powerful Android smartphones currently out on the market, powered by a quad-core Exynos 4412 chip clocked at 1.6 gigahertz and two gigabytes of RAM, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system underneath the TouchWiz UI will surely let users get a taste of its “Buttery” smoothness.
By the way, all those technological goodness are crowned by a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display (1,280 by 720) that’s non-pentile, there’s also an 8-megapixel main shooter, a high-definition front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, HSPA+ and LTE support.
