The Nexus 4 may be inexpensive, but it does not guarantee that the phone’s accessories will be members of the “wallet friendly” neighborhood.
Feb 12, 2013, TUESDAY. Article by: Kevin Go – Yup, the accessory we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived on Google’s official online portal and is priced at $60 a pop — pretty expensive for what it does but at least it saves us from the hassles of tangled wires, mangled micro USB ports of our LG Nexus 4 smartphones as well a the stress of having to plug-in the charger in pitch black darkness.
The wireless charging Orb wirelessly ‘zaps’ roughly five volts and an ampere’s worth of power to the back of the Nexus 4 as opposed to the five volts and 1.2 amps being pumped out by the included USB charger and as a result, the wireless charging Orb will be able to fully top up our beloved Jelly Bean smartphones’ batteries after four long hours — as opposed to the usual two and half to three and a half hours of charging time.
Well, you know what they say, you can’t always have it all. If you’re the kind of person who plugs in his smartphone before hitting the sack then the wireless charging Orb will definitely suit your lifestyle. I’m thinking of getting one myself since I’ve already inflicted some minor gashes around my Nexus 4′s charging port which is caused by my excessive laziness and extreme hatred for turning on the lights, which reminds me, the Nexus 4′s rubber coating is not as durable as it looks so you guys should probably learn from my mistake.
Like we’ve told you guys, it costs $60 dollars and comes with the main unit, as well as the AC adapter and ships in one week.
We reckon that the charging Orb will disappear just as fast as the device it is designed to work with so we suggest heading over the Google Play Store right away to purchase one for yourself — before it’s too late. Hit the source link to do just that.
