Feb 09, 2013, SATURDAY. Article by: Carlo Raphael Diokno – New iPad 5 renderings based on rumors posted on web reveals the next iPad’s similarities with the smaller iPad mini.
As reported by Macrumors, it commissioned CiccareseDesign to create renders based on leaks posted online. While giving Apple fans the idea of what the iPad 5 might look like, the site also claims that the new set of images provide accurate depiction of “how the upcoming iPad 5 will compare in size.”
No word yet from Apple about the iPad 5, but the rumor mill is suggesting that the company might reveal the new tablet in April, only months after it unwrapped the iPad 4 alongside the first-generation iPad Mini. It is worth noting that some reports claim the iPad 5 and the iPad Mini 2 will not arrive until October 2013.
Of course, rumors are also suggesting that the iPad Mini 2 will arrive this year — and similar to previous Apple-esque rumors, the iPad Mini will offer new features to differentiate itself from the competition, the Google Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire HD, and the original model.
According to other news outlets, the iPad Mini 2 will feature a 7.9-inch Retina display more pixels per inch, apparently. A new camera sensor and a new processor for the iPad Mini were also noted by reports. Via MacRumors.
