LG Nexus 4 availability check, Google Play Store offers “decent” shipping delay
Feb 08, 2013, FRIDAY. Article by: Kevin Go – Until today, internet search giant Google Incorporated opts to remain mum about the real number of LG Nexus 4 smartphones it has sold worldwide, analysts, too, have been sweating their minds off by ‘guesstimating’ Nexus 4 sales numbers but their efforts are still nowhere near the accuracy that a real sales quote from Google itself can reveal.
We’ve previously told you guys that curiosity led a bunch of Nexus 4 owners at XDA developer forums to join force and find the answer for themselves by estimating LG’s Nexus 4 production run with a bit of help from the Jelly Bean smartphone’s IMEI number or International Mobile Equipment Identity number. By doing just that, XDA frequenters eventually estimated that roughly 999,998 Nexus 4 smartphones have been produced on the 5th of February when [unsurprisingly] the 999,998th black Nexus 4 was sold somewhere in Turkey.
Either way as for the availability of the highly sought after smartphone, both 8 and 16 gigabyte models of the LG Nexus 4 is listed on the Google Play Store as “Ships Soon” and can be shipped in 3 weeks or less — quite a long wait but it’s certainly better to see a concrete timeframe than nothing at all. The 8 gigabyte Nexus 4 is priced at $299 while its sibling with the 16 gigabyte internal storage costs $349.
The Nexus 4 sports a 768 by 1,280 True HD+ PLS LCD display, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, an 8 megapixel rear snapper, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, Miracast Wireless HD, HSPA+ and Qi wireless charging support.
