Motorola Razr with Intel receives Android Jelly Bean OS update
Feb 06, 2013, 7:05 A.M., WEDNESDAY. Article by: Carlo Raphael Diokno – Finally, Google’s Motorola Mobility has updated the Intel-packing RAZR I from Android Ice Cream Sandwich with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the United Kingdom.
The update process was confirmed by Motorola Mobility UK. The company reports that the update process will reach all qualified smartphones in the next coming weeks. The RAZR I is the Intel-based version of the Motorola Droid RAZR of Verizon Wireless, not to be confused with the RAZR HD and RAZR HD Maxx with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and HD capacitive touchscreen display.
Similar to other Android handset, the update is simple, users can check the availability by opening the Settings “App” pre-installed and accessing the About Phone and “System Updates.”
Released last year, the Droid-less RAZR I is the first Intel-based handset of Motorola Mobility and one of the first devices of Intel that runs Android mobile operating system.
In United States, Verizon is already offering a Jelly Bean Motorola handset, the Motorola Droid RAZR M, and the Motorola Droid RAZR HD and its variants.
