Google Nexus 10 (Samsung) tablet still available on Play Store, but with shipping delay

The good news, customers in the U.S. can still avail of the cheaper Google Nexus 10 tablet at the Play Store, the bad news though, its shipping time is more than a week due to high demand.

Feb 05, 2013, 8:50 A.M., TUESDAY. Article by: Kevin Go – Even after a couple of days, Google’s flagship tablet computer still appears to be in stock on the Google Play Store and can arrive on your doorstep in as little as seven days — two weeks maximum for both 16 and 32 gigabyte models. The same cannot be said about the Nexus 4 smartphone though, both 8 and 16 gigabyte flavors of the highly sought after device still takes two to three weeks to ship.

That’s quite odd and surprising at the same time given that we’re used to seeing both devices sport the “out of stock” or “unavailable” statuses on Google’s official portal after just one day, sometimes even less, remember the Nexus 4′s launch day? The Play Store reportedly ran out of stocks after just 10 minutes, both in United Kingdom and the United States — no mean feat!

It’s not all roses for Google’s Play Store and the Nexus 10 though, the 32 gigabyte Nexus 10 is now out of stock at the Play Store UK but the 16 gigabyte variant can be shipped in as fast as three to five days, our folks living Australia and Spain will be sad to find out that either models of the Samsung-manufactured high-definition tablet is out of stock in their territories.

Priced at $100 cheaper than its Apple-made counterparts, it isn’t at all shocking that the Nexus 10 attracts the attention of may, add to that pocket-friendly price the bleeding-edge hardware such as the 2,560 x 1,600 Super PLS display, the dual-core Exynos 5212 processor and a plethora bells and whistles, Google and Samsung’s definitely got the weapon they need to defeat their competitors.

We hope that Samsung has already found a way to fix the awful light bleed issue on its Nexus-branded tablet, the display is — after all — the Nexus 10′s crowning glory.
