Whilst some talk about the possible release date of the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 in mid-2013, some reports are trying to add the possibility of the larger iPhone with bigger touchscreen display.
Feb 05, 2013, 1:05 P.M., TUESDAY. Article by: Carlo Raphael Diokno – We’re not kidding, there’s a set of new rumors claiming that Apple is planning to launch an iPhone phablet equipped with larger Samsung Galaxy Note 2-like display size. As reported by Barrons, Barclays Capital‘s Ben Reitzes adds fuel to iPhablet fire by talking about it, and merging it with stock quotes and smartphone market impact.
Reitzes writes that his colleagues on the tech team project phablets will come to dominate smartphone shipment growth, rising 105% between last year and 2015, from 27 million units to 230 million. As a consequence, the one-handed use of the iPhone 5 is “less important since phone calls are becoming less important than navigation, texting, videos, books and Web access for many.”
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is a success, in fact, other Android manufacturers have embraced the idea — like the Sony Xperia Z and the HTC Butterfly, both with large 5-inch phablet-categorized display with stunning display resolution and more pixels per inch than previous Android handset display.
