Feb 04, 2013, 10:10 A.M., MONDAY. Article by: Raphael Labuguen – If you own a Mac and you’re planning on purchasing the new EA Maxis game, the SimCity 5 — here’s the latest update.

According to EA, the software will arrive to Mac in Spring. Apparently, it’s a bit delayed, but according to the game company, SimCity 5 will be worth the wait because  the Mac version isn’t a port (ported game from Windows PC), but a totally native game for the Mac OS X platform.

With its native goodness, we should expect better quality, plus, EA said that Mac SimCity 5 users will also enjoy “co-op” with other gamers including players from the Windows camp. For starters, SimCity 5 offers multi-player and players can enjoy a single map with friends and share borders with their cities. In short, build your city with friends and other gamers and build a metropolitan area that can interact with each other.

In related news, PC pre-order is still up and running at EA’s “Origin” website. In fact, EA is currently running a promo to lure more orders.
