“Carphone Warehouse to offer the BlackBerry 10-powered BB Z10 in white? New leak claims the handset will also arrive this year.”

Research in Motion’s big BlackBerry 10 event is still a few days away but news about the Canadian smartphone maker’s upcoming devices keep sprouting like mushrooms [just about  everywhere], now, our folks over at the other side of the Atlantic will finally have an idea just how much it will cost them to own one of RIM’s first ever full-touch smartphone. Keep reading past the break to find out more!

A leaked image of what appears to be Carphone Warehouse’s inventory database has just surfaced which shows that a white version of the BlackBerry Z10 will soon find its way into the retailer’s shelves, not only that, the price of the BlackBerry 10-powered smartphone can also be seen – £480 ($758 USD) to be exact, which is actually quite expensive for a SIM-free phone given the device’s mid-range spec sheet, still, the price is yet to be confirmed and hopefully it will go down once the Z10 officially debuts on the 30th of this month.

We hope that RIM will price the X10 and Z10 competitively to make them more affordable for the consumers and, of course, to beat the competitors, their previous tactic of selling overpriced BlackBerry smartphones with underwhelming innards will no longer work today.

Nowadays, consumers are more cautious when it comes to spending on gadgets and we’re pretty sure that they won’t be keen on spending their hard-earned cash on a dual-core BlackBerry 10 smartphone that’s more expensive than a quad-core Android handset with hundreds of thousands of apps available for download right away.
