Fans desire iPhone 5S in different colors, like the Nokia Lumia 920
January 4, 2013, 10:06:59 EST. A new poll result from tech site BGR proclaims that Apple fans want more colors, apart from the original black and white iPhone variants. Of course, the new data applies to the rumored iPhone 5S of Apple that will reportedly arrive in the middle of this year.
According to the report, 35 percent of poll respondents say they will buy the next iPhone in blue, pink or yellow. Meanwhile, roughly 28.4 percent of BGR readers might purchase colored iPhone 5S (or iPhone 6) only after the launch or “want to see how they look before making a purchasing decision.”
Apparently, Samsung Mobile is already selling a slew of Samsung Galaxy S3 in different colors, while Nokia has decided to simultaneously launch all Lumia 920 handsets in different colors like yellow, grey, red and the AT&T-exclusive cyan.
The iPhone 5, the latest Apple flagship, is available in black/slate and white/silver aluminum only. According to sources from online third-party retailers, the black variant is more popular based on actual sales and shipment than the white iPhone 5 which offers the Macintosh Aluminum feel.
Rumors say Apple is already testing the new iPhone with the latest version of the company’s mobile operating system, iOS 7. Of course, grain of salt just like other Apple rumors, but I guess it’s safe to say that Apple will offer “something new” this year to lure more customers, and to stop Android’s “super-fast” growth in the smartphone platform market.
