PS4 2012 not true, PS Vita sees sales rebound
Sony denies rumors that it will introduce a new Playstation device at the E3 event.
Reports already denied the rumored Playstation 4 unveiling at the E3 event, and Sony’s new statement should be the “last,” the Japanese tech giant said it has no plans to announce a new Playstation gaming device this June during E3 2012.
The company’s representatives told the Wall Street Journal that the PS4 rumors are false, adding that the company will still follow its 10-year life cycle and will continue to add more PS3 titles, so if you’re planning to buy a new Playstation, the Playstation 3 is still the “best choice” because it is still the latest.
Sony introduced the Playstation 3 in 2006, while the Playstation 2 was introduced in 2000. Apparently, Sony is not really following the 10-year device cycle, so if the PS4 will not arrive this year, then 2013 holds promise.
Sony recently introduced its new hand-held gaming device, the PS Vita. According to new reports, the new touchscreen Playstation portable gadget is seeing sales rebound in Japan. Gamespot says in an article that Sony is receiving positive feedback from customers, adding that the satisfaction rate is “high.”
