Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to invade Nvidia Tegra powered Android phones next year
Yup, your Samsung Galaxy Nexus might not get the new Sonic game because it is not powered by Tegra.
Oh fragmentation! Some Android owners will surely hate this kind of marketing strategy.
Today, reports have confirmed that the popular Sega game, yup, the 90s rival of the Super Mario Nintendo games will get a new version that will invade the Android ecosystem, but if you’re using a non-Tegra smartphone, get lost.
SEGA, the gaming company behind the popular game franchise has announced the Sonic Episode 2 and it will land on NVIDIA Tegra devices early next year. According to Android Police, the new Sonic and Tails game will join the Nvidia Tegra 2 market place, but SEGA and Nvidia are reportedly working closely to bring the game to Tegra 3 devices too.
The ASUS Transformer Prime is the only Tegra 3 device as of the moment, but tech sites say other upcoming devices with the new CPU are expected to debut early next year.
