Nokia’s second Windows Phone now shipping, targets mid-range market.
The new Nokia smartphone, sporting the cheaper tag price compared to the first Nokia Windows Phone Lumia 800, will start selling in Taiwan today and other countries including Hong Kong, China, India and Singapore are set to follow next week. Nokia also added that other countries will get the Lumia 710 over the coming weeks.
The Nokia Lumia 710 features colorful design and the user can personalize it by using the optional cases. Under the hood, the Lumia 710 is powered by 1.4GHz single-core SoC, 512MB RAM and includes a built-in 8GB storage where a user can store images, music files etc. The phone features 3.7-inch WVGA TFT ClearBlack, or Nokia’s own name for AMOLED which is the same display technology being used by Android devices.
The phone can also shoot photos and videos courtesy of the 5-megapixel back camera with high-definition 720p video recording support. The phone is using the new Windows Phone Mango operating system, so new features like multitasking, faster web browsing, etc are pre-loaded.
No word yet about the Lumia 710′s release here in United States, but T-Mobile and Nokia are expected to announce “something” this month, so let’s just wait and see.
