Sprint Galaxy S2 (S II) and Motorola Droid Bionic sharing release date?
A new rumor suggests that the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S II will arrive in stores on September 8, could be the first carrier-supported Galaxy S2 to hit the United States market.

Multiple reports led by SprintFeed claim that the Samsung Galaxy S II that will run under the banner of Sprint Nextel, will arrive in the United States smartphone market on September 8th. If true, then the Sprint Nextel Samsung Galaxy S II will be the first variant that will hit the US stores. Samsung Galaxy S II (or Galaxy S2) is the most popular Android smartphone of Samsung to date, based on the number of units shipped, and units sold.
Additional rumors say the Samsung Galaxy S II for Sprint will use the Samsung Epic Touch 4G branding, but will still maintain the specs. The original (or global) version of the Samsung Galaxy S II sports 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of dedicated RAM, 8 megapixel back camera, a front facing 2 megapixel camera for video chatting, and pre-installed with the latest Android Gingerbread 2.3 out of the box with the custom Samsung TouchWiz skin on top.
But the September 8 is also the rumored release date of Verizon’s much-anticipated Android smartphone, the Motorola Droid Bionic. The new Motorola Mobility phone with Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 and custom Motorola skin on top of the UI is a popular device due to its compelling Long Term Evolution connectivity and dual-core TI OMAP4 processor clocked at 1 GHz. Motorola Droid Bionic will be the first LTE Android devices to include dual-core processor.
Aside from the Droid Bionic, rumors say Verizon Wireless is also expected to carry the Samsung Galaxy S II, but the carrier is still not confirming the reports. Droid Life speculates that the Samsung Celox could be the LTE version of the Galaxy S2 that will join the US Android market. Samsung Celox was leaked last week, sporting 4.5 inch screen and rumored to include dual-core processor and LTE connectivity.
