iPhone 5 release date rumors today a mess, Apple secrecy effective
Multiple websites posting multiple rumors, quoting multiple unnamed sources today.
iPhone 5 is a popular phone, and the internet world can’t just stop talking about it. Or, is Apple playing reverse psychology here?
From job listings to no-vacation policy of AT&T, the iPhone 5 is allegedly the “reason behind” all these rumors. Now, it looks like the secrecy folder of Apple is becoming more (and more) effective — based on the mess that is currently happening in the “iPhone 5 release date” reports.
Apparently, a report posted on Thursday by Fortune quoting a blog post written by Apple N Apps, the iPhone 5 will arrive next month alongside a new cloud-based iPhone that Apple will use against the mid-range Android devices.
According to Fortune, the source of the news, Trevor Sheridan, is a credible Apple blogger based on his previous accurate claims. But, a new report posted by The Loop is trying to dismiss the rumor posted by Sheridan, and the site is claiming that Apple will not introduce the iPhone 5 next month, because Apple will not hold an event. The Loop is also speculating that the new September 7 rumor is just based on previous release date records of Apple devices.
But on top of all these rumors is the report from All Things D. When it comes to credibility belt, the website has a track record that is obviously unquestionable. Kara Swisher reconfirmed her site’s claims that the iPhone 5 will arrive in October. Apparently, All Things D is the first website to report the October 2011 iPhone 5 launch courtesy of the post written by John Paczkowski who dismissed all the rumors pointing to dates from August to September and even the November to January 2012 release date.
Swisher also added that the iPhone 5 is not just a “slight upgrade” because it will include a dual-core processor, Qualcomm’s dual-mode GSM/CDMA baseband and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. The report also included a U2 video entitled “October.” Speaking of the first month of Q4, Apple’s biggest operating system rival, the Google Android, is expected to introduce the new operating system build in October too, so it is highly possible that these companies have something in common.
Who is to believe? Well, the title says it all, the iPhone 5 rumors is a mess today — and will obviously continue unless Apple will release another greeting card with an event invitation. It is also worth mentioning that aside from the release date of the iPhone 5, Apple rumors room also talk about the possibility of Sprint Wireless and T-Mobile USA joining the iOS-rich smartphone market.
