HTC Thunderbolt release date after iPad 2, March 16 (RUMOR)
HTC Thunderbolt to get an earlier release date?
Rumors galore.
While we’re waiting for the official announcement of Verizon Wireless, a new release date of HTC Thunderbolt surfaces courtesy of a tweet claiming that “Best Buy rep” gave a new release date, March 8th.
Apparently, Best Buy is also the company who gave the February 14, and the March 4 release dates, so we’re not “so” sure if the new date is legit or not. But here’s a little bad news, there’s a possibility that HTC Thunderbolt will arrive after the official release date of the iPad 2, on March 11.
According to our source (Tippy), Verizon is now planning to release the Thunderbolt “after March 11,” but the decision is still not final. The source added that “(Verizon) is avoiding long lines and cluttered stores,” and “(Verizon) thinks that March 16 is the perfect release date of the HTC Thunderbolt.”
Our source is also the first one to confirm that the HTC Thunderbolt will arrive in “first or second week of March.” Surprisingly, looks like he’s telling the truth. But March 16 is on the third week of March, so there’s a possibility that the battery problem, plus the iPad 2 affected the release date of the Thunderbolt.
