Nokia Lumia 920 with Adreno 320 leaks online, not for the US market

November 25, 2012, 1:21 P.M., Sunday, New York local time — The red Nokia Lumia 920 with Adreno 320 GPU leaks online, sorry, not for the United States market.

Nokia is giving customers yet another compelling reason to switch, in case you’re not an Instagram or Dropbox user (because the Microsoft Marketplace does not offer the apps, and thousands of other top-apps yet). Meet the new Nokia Lumia 920T or the pumped-up version of the Lumia Windows Phone 8 device, sadly, it is not destined to join the United States market yet.

As reported by GSM Arena, the new Nokia Lumia 920T is the improved version of Nokia’s flagship phone that will offer Adreno 320GPU, replacing the original Lumia 920 Adreno 225 GPU. With a more advanced graphics processing unit, games will benefit from the better graphics processor, however, most developers might target the Adreno 225 because of the GPU’s current share in the Windows Phone 8 ecosystem. Apart from the original Nokia Lumia 920, the new HTC Windows Phone8X is also using the same 225 Adreno GPU with its Snapdragon S4 Krait system-on-a-chip.

China Mobile’s Nokia Lumia 920T with Adreno 320 GPU, an “upgraded” version of the top-end Windows Phone 8 flagship phone of Nokia, the Nokia Lumia 920.

The Nokia Lumia 920T with Windows Phone 8 and the new GPU is reportedly joining mainland China’s smartphone market soon via China Mobile. Similar to the original Lumia 920, the new Nokia Lumia 920T features a 4.5-inch IPS LCD HD touchscreen display, 1GB RAM, 32GB of on-board storage, 8.7-megapixel PureView primary camera, front-facing camera and the new Windows Phone 8 with Nokia apps in tow.

Speaking of the new Nokia device, third-party retailers are expected to add additional units next month, December, to accommodate more customers. As reported by multiple sites, the Nokia Lumia 920 is still sold out online (the international unlocked model), despite growing demand for Android and iPhones.

The Nokia Lumia 920 competes with the new Google Nexus 4, an LG-made phone which runs the latest version of Android and includes a cheaper price tag. Also, the Nokia Lumia 920 is competing with Apple’s latest flagship device, the Apple iPhone 5 with 4-inch display, dual-core processor and the latest iOS 6 mobile operating system.
