Nokia Lumia 610 “dislikes” Angry Birds
May 28th, 2012, 8:30 A.M.–Nokia’s latest entry-level handset, the Nokia Lumia 610, cannot run the Angry Birds app, find out why.
Windows Phone, Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system, is by far one of the most attractive mobile OSes out there that can compete against the market leader Android by Google, and iOS by Apple. Its build is silky smooth even without the dual-core CPU largely due to Microsoft’s deeper integration and strict specs rules.
But here’s the bad news, an entry-level Windows Phone is, surprisingly, a bad idea. Ask Nokia and its latest smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 610.
According to Engadget, the new inexpensive Windows Phone cannot support Rovio’s Angry Birds, one of the most popular mobile game franchises in the world. Apparently, Angry Birds for Windows Phone requires “a phone with more RAM” than the Nokia Lumia 610. Ouch, so what’s the point of buying this phone?
The answer I think is the price tag, but you get what you pay for. According to one of the popular online retailers that we interviewed, the Lumia 610 is currently priced at £180.00 with taxes, etc, or US$290 after the current conversion rate (GBP to USD).
So, if you love Angry Birds, then you should skip the Lumia 610.
Aside from the Nokia Lumia 610, the Finland-based phone maker is also offering other Windows Phone devices, like the Nokia Lumia 710, the Lumia 800, and the Lumia 900 which is currently available in United States via AT&T.
